PMKVY
PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna) is the flagship scheme of Skill India Initiative by Govt. of India. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme has been to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training which enables them to securing a better livelihood.
Medhavi Foundation has implemented Short Term Trainings (STT) under PMKVY 2.0 scheme across six states of India and has certified and benefitted 10,000+ students in the scheme period.
Medhavi also implements special projects under PMKVY Central Component via the Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). Under the partnership with Rubber and Plastics Sector Skill Council, we have enrolled candidates for Short Term Training (STT) for the job role – Machine Operator Assistant- Injection Moulding in Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar districts of Assam.
RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning):
RPL is a process of assessment of an individual’s prior learning to give due importance to learning as an outcome rather than learning as a process. Across India, numerous informally skilled workers earn their livelihood without any proper certification of their knowledge and skills. RPL as a scheme enables them for certification via assessments which are recognised by Government of India.
RPL Through Demand in PMKKs:
Under RPL Through Demand (Type 5) scheme, we have enrolled 5400 candidates from different rural parts of Silchar, Bongaigaon, Hailakandi (Assam) and Aizawl (Mizoram) under the affiliated job roles in Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs).
Employer Led RPL
: One of the components of RPL scheme is employer-led RPL which is done in partnership with Employers for their own employees in their premies. Under RPL Type 2, we have partnered with Logistic Sector Skill Council (LSC) to enrol and train 15,000 beneficiaries from different parts of Assam- (Barpeta, Kamrup Rural, Bongaigaon, Udalguri, Nalbari, Sonitpur & Darrang) under the Courier Associate / Warehouse Associate & Commercial Vehicle Driver job roles.RPL (Type 1) camp mode:
In collaboration with Rubber Skill Development Council, we have the mandate to train and certify 2000 migrant workers in Assam under the RPL TYPE 1 – Reverse Migrant scheme.
